\nThe life’s work of the versatile artist Ploberger as a representative of visual and applied art will be illuminated in this special exhibition.<\/h3>\n

The painter Herbert Ploberger has a permanent place as an artist in the history of art of the 20th century. His stil-lifes and self-portraits made him a well-known Austrian representative of New Objectivity.<\/p>\n

Since he was both visual and applied artist, he left with his life’s work a wide range of his art as a costume and stage designer for theater, film and television from Vienna, Linz, Berlin, Hamburg and Munich. These are shown for the first time in the exhibition and show the diversity of the artist.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Ploberger’s Berlin “anti-war pictures” are exhibited, which opens up a view of his complete oeuvre. It shows well-known new paintings and several paintings rediscovered in recent years.<\/p>\n
