\nConstructed facts in the media, flood of information and the question of the truth in times of digitization.<\/span> The exhibition at Kunsthalle Exnergasse shows an artistic analysis based on the Austrian election campaign 2017.<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

In times of digitization, we are daily exposed to a flood of information that moves us, controls us, influences us and above all arouses emotions in us.<\/span> Whether consciously or unconsciously, language and images continue to work in each of us, they make a difference.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The artists of the exhibition explore the effects of language and image and analyze, document and expose them.<\/span> It becomes clear – information, rumors, humbug, media spectacle, blame, abuse of power – all this can only be recognized or anticipated by deliberate, closer examination and confrontation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Christoph Schlingensief’s appeal “Please love Austria” as part of his container campaign at the Wiener Festwochen in 2000 could not be politically more explosive.<\/span> Paul Poet’s documentary on the action can be seen throughout the exhibition.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibition is also an appeal to question information critically and to check its validity.<\/span><\/p>\n
