\nAt the beginning of October, music will be heard in the Remise Bludenz, which is not only contemporary, but in its teenage years even.<\/h3>\n

The Bludenzer Tage zeitgem\u00e4\u00dfer Musik present 13 world premieres in five concerts, the oldest piece performed dates from the year 2000, and the master class also brings young, talented composers from all over the world to the Alpine town. This is getting exciting!<\/p>\n

The BTzM will be opened by the British composer Sam Salem and his ensemble Distractfold with their new piece “Midlands”. This work is a tribute to the composer Derby’s hometown, in which Sam Salem combines sound and film production, live performance and “solid” media to create a unique audiovisual experience.<\/p>\n

On the second concert evening the nine musicians of the young Austrian ensemble Schallfeld will be guests in Bludenz for the first time. They will present a programme with three world premieres by the Russian composers Anna Korsun and Alexander Khubeev as well as the Italian Sara Caneva. They will also perform a work by Lorenzo Troiani, participant in the first Masterclass Competition 2015.<\/p>\n

The string trio of the Distractfold Ensemble will perform “Mani. Giacometti” by Pierluigi Billone and “Trio” by Christian Winther Christenden, two pieces that seem to dissolve the acoustic space. A second world premiere of Anna Korsun, who is the focus of this year’s BTzM, will also be heard.<\/p>\n

On Sunday the festival closes with two concerts. In the morning, new works will be presented which have been written especially for this occasion by the six young composers of this year’s master class, again supervised by composer Carola Bauckholt. In the evening concert, the festival will end with a sensational bang by the ensemble NIKEL, with pieces by Mark Barden, Erin Gee, Daniel Zea and new works by Australian composers Matthew Shlomowitz and Katherine Young from the USA.<\/p>\n

The organizer allArt – Verein zur F\u00f6rderung von Kunst und Kultur in Bludenz – see themselves both as cultural local suppliers for the Bludenz region and as a nationally effective cultural initiative.<\/p>\n
