A dazzling show, loosely based on the motto: Vienna, you red Sodom, your color stands for love and revolution and Sodom for the city of vices that lustfully defies conventions!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the SODOM VIENNA REVUE, the artists around Denice Bourbon and Gin M\u00fcller follow in the footsteps of personalities, psychological orgasms and utopias of the perverse Vienna of the red 20s and queer them with the present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The historic 1919 election marked the beginning of Red Vienna and an era whose aesthetics and politics were enlightened, psychoanalytic, lascivious and slippery at the same time. Red revues and staged propaganda spectacles faced bourgeois scandals such as Anita Berber’s Dances of Vice<\/em>, performances by Josephine Baker and Arthur Schnitzler’s Reigen<\/em>. The gigantic silent film production Sodom and Gomorrah<\/em> (1921\/22) at Laaer Berg with more than 15,000 extras combined the biblical story with the hedonistic present of the 1920s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
