Since it was founded in 1983, the Danube Island Festival has developed into one of the largest music festivals in the world, attracting millions of visitors every year. In 2024, the Danube Island Festival will once again transform the island into Vienna’s largest open-air arena – under the motto: My heart beats island – and turn it into a venue for music, culture, sport and enjoyment – for all generations and with free admission.
The festival not only serves as a platform for international artists and bands, but also promotes local Austrian talent and offers them the opportunity to perform on a big stage in front of a large audience. Over the years, the Danube Island Festival has become an integral part of Vienna’s cultural and entertainment calendar and symbolizes the vibrant and inclusive spirit of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
