Fabian K\u00f6ttl’s works show the viewer whimsical constellations, enigmatic situations, grotesque figures, supernatural in their composition. The pictures surprise, enliven and inspire. Right now. The \u2018Kunstforum-International\u2019 notes that the surreal is increasingly reappearing in painting in a contemporary variation. It explains the trend as a result of \u2018sobering\u2019, we could also say sobering and confusing living conditions. The world is in turmoil – politically, economically – which is overriding rationality. This provides new material for surrealism. K\u00f6ttl’s pictures arise from free-flowing inspirations. From fantasies drawn from the unconscious, from fairy tales, myths, legends, dreams and from keen observations of everyday life. They are full and mysterious pictures down to the smallest detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
