They enable the idea of the \u2018foreigner\u2019 to be identified and addressed in its legal, political, social and cultural dimensions. Numerous works examine this concept from the perspective of people with a history of flight or migration. The contradictory nature of its meaning is highlighted through concepts such as identity, statelessness and displacement. Some exhibits address the positions of those who often cannot be easily categorised legally and whose socio-political status is expressed in certain attitudes.
