Through acts of self-representation, he questions normative discourses and provides insights into realities of life that have received little attention to date. Pleas of Resistance marks the first major European museum exhibition\u2014curated by Agust\u00edn P\u00e9rez Rubio and Susanne Watzenboeck\u2014that comprehensively showcases Motta&#8217;s artistic development. It brings together more than twenty-five years of artistic practice, combining early photographic self-portraits with more recent video performances and installations in four interwoven chapters.
