In a hiccup, a stutter or a melody that arises only through the interplay of two voices, Schubert discovers a choreography of relationship in which connection is fragile and surprising. Schubert\u2019s new piece is conceived as a score for voice and body for two performers, created for the Ringgalerie of the Salzburger Kunstverein. The performance begins with a sound somewhere further away, around a corner, slightly outside the field of vision. At its core, the performance poses the question: how can illegibility be created through the voice? The vocal material oscillates between the technical and the animalistic, the mechanical and the otherworldly.
