Stories and drawings on the theme of friendship. Best friends and soul mates, loose associations and partnerships of convenience through to friendship plus, friendliness or toxic relationships – selected comics about old, new and special alliances are presented.
The stories tell of the formation and growth of these connections to the moment when they no longer work, are abandoned, parted ways and new alliances are forged.
In the festival center in the Upper Austrian cultural district, national and international comic positions extend over three floors. There are 33 different exhibitions from over 100 artists.
An exhibition highlight: Originals by Hägar the Horrible.
At the two-day Online Comic Symposium (March 10th + 11th), national and international comics scientists and artists are invited to lectures and talks. Registration and link: events@merz-akademie.de
