With ‘[EOL]. End of Life’, the directing duo DARUM (Victoria Halper and Kai Krösche), in co-production with brut Wien, presents a performative VR installation at the 62nd Theatertreffen that deals impressively with the topic of digital heritage. In a 9.6 square metre playing area, participants enter a digital landscape of ruins using VR glasses and decide which data should be deleted or preserved. The immersive experience poses fundamental questions about responsibility, memory and the traces that a human life leaves behind on the internet. In terms of content and technology, the work sets new standards for digital storytelling in a theatre context.
The performances will take place at the Gropius Bau Berlin.
