Traditionally, the month of May is dedicated to Europe; this year, however, for a very special occasion: 30 years ago, Austria became a fully-fledged and committed member of the European Union. On this occasion, the Austrian Cultural Forum Zagreb is presenting an exhibition that traces the most important stages on Austria’s path to EU membership – from the submission of the application for membership in July 1989 to the successful conclusion of the accession negotiations on 1 March 1994 and the referendum. The exhibition will also be presented at the Austrian Library in Rijeka.
