In 2025, OFF-Biennale Budapest celebrates its 10th anniversary as a grassroots initiative and independent platform. This year, the OFF-Biennale Budapest includes various artistic projects supported by the Federal Ministry of the Republic of Austria – Arts, Culture, Civil Service and Sport and the Austrian Cultural Forum Budapest. In Asylum – a Poem of Unrest, the Slovakian artist Robert Gabris, who works in Vienna, critically examines fluid and changeable identities through drawings and experimental forms of performance. To be seen at the Merlin Theatre (Károly krt. / Városháza Park Budapest). Mai Ling, a collective founded in Vienna in 2019, is showing its exhibition project ‘Dirt Nouveau’ at Kisterem, not far from the Merlin.
