Through her projects, Milica Tomić has developed from individual to collective artistic practice and explores and tests new forms of collectivity. She is a founding member of the Yugoslav art and theory group Grupa Spomenik (or Monument Group) and founder of the interdisciplinary project and working group Four Faces of Omarska. Throughout the exhibition, each of the exhibited works is contextualised by the archive, which is intertwined with the exhibited pieces. The role of the archive, which runs through the exhibition curated by Andreja Hribernik and Irena Borić, is to invite viewers to study, to immerse themselves in a particular theme, and at the same time to situate the exhibited works, which are always part of a larger research process that takes place in their background. The exhibition provides an overview of her work and focuses on projects such as Unsolved XY (1997), I am Milica Tomić (1998), The Portrait of My Mother (1999), Alone (2001), Reading Capital (2004), One day, Instead of One Night, a Burst of Machine-Gun Fire will Flash, if Light Cannot Come Otherwise (2009), Last Letter (2010), Container, Reconstruction of a Crime (2004-2011) and others.
