In the exhibition OBERDECK #21 Still Processing at Schaumbad Graz – KÝVAT PAJDAT (Czech Kývat: to move back and forth, wobble; Pajdat: limp, hobble) aka. Keyvan Paydar shows an archived compilation and a recontextualised version of his adventures as part of the MeetFactory residency programme in May/June 2024 in Prague. Born in Iran, Keyvan Paydar studied painting and art anthropology in Iran as well as sculpture with Markus Wilfling and ceramics with Irmgard Schaumberger in the masterclasses of the Ortweinschule Graz. Since 2013, he has been working as a freelance multimedia artist, art mediator, musician and independent curator at ‘Schaumbad – Freies Atelierhaus Graz’, among others, where he has also been a board member since 2021. Paydar has taken part in international exhibitions, symposia and residency programmes, runs a pop-up gallery in Graz and organises regional and international art projects and festivals.
