Barbara Salaun, whose exhibition The Beauty of World Heritage is being presented at the Cultural Forum Zagreb, uses the classic media of etching and lithography for her World Heritage vedute, which she expands into virtual space in combination with new media through digitalisation. Her latest works reflect numerous World Heritage sites in Austria and China, catapulting the audience through space and time to Vienna and Beijing in the past. In this way, she unites past, present and future in one work of art. However, Salaun is not only bringing a touch of the Viennese and Beijing monuments with her to Zagreb, but also printing templates made of brass/letterpress, which will be printed on site under her guidance and thus enable a first experience of the world of printmaking.
