The Joseph Binder Award is regarded as the internationally renowned competition for graphics and illustration par excellence and is awarded every two years. The 14 competition categories range from corporate design and type design to animated illustration and ‘design fiction’. Designers from all over the world submitted their work under the motto ‘Show your Colour’. From the record number of 896 submissions from 35 countries, the international jury awarded 12 projects gold, 14 silver and 13 bronze. In addition, 39 special works were recognised. Three Vorarlberg prizewinners were delighted to receive one of the coveted awards: Atelier Andrea Gassner, Zeughaus and Studio Ferregan. Atelier Andrea Gassner was also honoured with the prestigious Henry Steiner Prize. The graphic design of this year’s award was created by the Vorarlberg-based studio so-super.
