Nikolaus Walter from Vorarlberg is one of the most important representatives of Austrian auteur photography; he portrays people and their surroundings in black and white photographs that are mostly reduced to the essentials.
On the occasion of the exhibition ‘ON THE ROAD’, Nikolaus Walter presents a large selection of photographic impressions and experiences that were created in the course of his numerous trips to Canada, India, Transylvania, Nicaragua, Portugal and Belarus, among others.
