The painter and graphic artist Rainer A. Riepl, the textile and object artist Anita Selinger and the metal sculptor Andreas Sagmeister explore and investigate in a confrontational and fruitful way the extent to which their very different artistic approaches interact with each other and with the world of Alfred Kubin. Painterly structured acrylic paintings and graphite drawings, in which Rainer A. Riepl questions associations with nature, are juxtaposed with Anita Selinger’s controversial arrangement of artefacts and organic collectibles, which open up unexpected possibilities of interpretation. Andreas Sagmeister sets a strict, non-representational counterpoint to this with his body- and space-forming steel sculptures.
