Over the course of six weeks, the Montafon is transformed into a stage for top-class concert experiences – in places that surprise and enchant. Sometimes the sounds resound in old churches, sometimes in sunlit alpine meadows or in historic Montafon parlours. The festival creates space for musical discoveries beyond the everyday. It is not a loud spectacle, but a subtly curated programme characterised by stylistic diversity and artistic excellence. Curated by Markus Felbermayer, who has lent the festival an unmistakable signature for many years, a multi-layered musical panorama unfolds with international artistic personalities. Whether subtle jazz, powerful brass sounds, contemplative organ music or cross-genre formats – the Montafon Resonances transcend stylistic boundaries and yet remain deeply rooted in the region. An experience for all those who not only want to listen to music, but also experience it with all their senses. The opening concert with the Rheingold Quartet and german hornsound – eight horns, a varied programme between baroque, world premieres and Wagner fantasies, which unites sound tradition and innovation, kicks off in the Tschagguns parish and pilgrimage church.
