The second exhibition, which is being realised in cooperation with cultural manager and art historian Dr Tanja Gurke at the Steirisches Volksbildungswerk, presents the young artist Julia Wolf. Julia Wolf finds her expression in art. Whether painting, screen printing, wall works or installations: Her aim is to give space to her emotions and to express herself freely and intuitively. The artistic language she has acquired in recent years is impulsive and captivating. Her personal approach to art is based on the art association ‘RAUM117’ and her training in graphic and communication design at the Ortweinschule in Graz.
In self-imposed isolation lasting several days in the rooms of the Rösselmühle, she worked on her solo exhibition for the Steirische Volksbildungswerk. Withdrawal as a reaction to the feeling of being overwhelmed – flooded by external stimuli, distanced from her inner self, she was left with a body that only functioned.
