Heinrich (Jindřich) Kulka, born in Litovel, Moravia, began his architectural studies at the Technical University in Vienna. At the same time, he attended the private building school of Adolf Loos and, as his partner, was significantly involved in almost all of his designs from 1927/28. The exhibition is dedicated in detail to Heinrich Kulka’s independent work before his emigration. In addition to some Viennese works from the period before 1938 (first emigration to Hradec Králové / Königgrätz), the focus is primarily on his buildings realised in Bohemia, which are entirely committed to the idea of spatial planning. Kulka was able to realise these projects in his original homeland before his final emigration to New Zealand in 1940.
