The ‘Murszene’ festival on Mariahilferplatz offers the finest world music every Thursday, Friday and Saturday for three weeks! Once again this summer, the musical world tour will take you across continents and cultures. The first concert of the Murszene, this year by Karen Asatrian & ARMENIAN SPIRIT, will transform Mariahilferplatz into a summer music arena. For twenty years now, the piano man with the cap has been sharing his musical herb garden with passionate companions. They willingly and curiously master many a challenging mountain with him. After all, they all know what jazz from Asatrian tastes like. ‘When we set off, something like a shared Armenian spirit emerges,’ says Karen Asatrian, delighted with the blind trust and mutual appreciation with which the collective is travelling, even after decades. The musicians originally come from Uruguay, Iraq, Croatia and Austria.
