The CHIALA Africa Festival is an integral part of the Graz Summer of Culture. The centrepiece is the open-air festival in Augartenpark Graz, where numerous national and international artists inspire visitors with their music, creativity and craftsmanship in the form of workshops and performances. With numerous programme items, the public space is given a framework that enables people to meet, regardless of their geographical and social background, age and gender, and in which a mutual exchange can take place away from clichés.
