In her exhibition at Bildraum 01, Sophia Gatzkan, runner-up of the PARALLEL VIENNA | Bildrecht YOUNG ARTIST Award 2023, transcends the morphological integrity of the human body. Sculptures in which human limbs merge with mammalian horns formulate a radical vision of convergence and connectedness. The human body no longer appears as a closed, self-sufficient system, but as a permeable structure in constant flux.
