VIENNA DESIGN WEEK is one of Europe’s leading design events. Over ten days in autumn, around 200 events are presented at 50 locations scattered throughout the City Full of Design. Each year, a different district takes centre stage. The focus district for 2025 is Wieden, Vienna’s 4th district. This year’s festival headquarters: the impressive workshop halls and showrooms of a former car dealership at Wiedner Hauptstraße 52. The programme put together by festival director Gabriel Roland and his team is not only concerned with product design. In exhibitions, interventions, workshops, talks, tours and much more, contributions from fields such as social design, craftsmanship, circular economy, art and architecture illustrate the essential role that the work of designers plays in urban coexistence and around the world. The festival is divided into several curated formats, followed by educational offerings, talks and the location-specific focal points of the focus district and festival headquarters.
