Since 2020, freundinnenderkunst has been accompanying a glass house or greenhouse in its simplest form. The conventional plastic-aluminium object from the DIY store is rich in multi-layered symbolic power and thus opens up a wide range of topics for imagination, hence the title GLASHAUSFANTASIE (GLASS HOUSE FANTASY).
The collective currently consists of Claudia Dworschak, Marion Klimmer, Helga Lohninger and Viktoria Schlögl, who were able to realise their eleventh glass house project, their 11th GLASHAUSFANTASIE, as artists in residence in Namibia in 2024.
The exhibition and spatial unfolding of the collective’s series of works provide an insight into the artists’ work and practice, their stagings, interventions and performances in the form of photographic series, videos and installations.
