In October 2025, Salzburg’s old town will once again be dominated by the Jazz&TheCity festival, which will once again provide a stage for national and international artists from the worlds of jazz, world and electronic music for four days. Under the motto ‘The city sounds together’, audiences can expect new artistic collaborations and musical impulses that will make the urban festival even more open and youthful in 2025. ‘The city sounds together’ is both the motto and guiding principle of the new festival orientation and is already reflected in the development of the programme: for the first time, Jazz&TheCity 2025 will not rely on a single curator model, but on a team. Markus Deisenberger is responsible for the artistic conception and coordination. Together with experts including Katrin Pröll (Salam Music) and Jakob Flarer (Saudades), he is developing the programme, guaranteeing its unique breadth, topicality and vitality. There will be a stronger focus on world music, crossover and local collaborations, giving the festival a new, fresher direction. The diversity of music will be celebrated.
