Alois Riedl. Untitled is based on a minimalist concept that applies to both Riedl’s works and his comments on their creation, inspiration and technique. In his work, the artist avoids naturalistic representations, meaningful titles and playful colour combinations. The works on display are examples of his individual formal language, which moves between figuration and abstraction. Simple pieces of furniture can serve as a source of inspiration for him. The focus of the exhibition, curated by Inga Kleinknecht, is a series of works from 1975 to 1985 that concentrate on his emotional, expressive power.
