Since this year, the Austrian Cultural Forum Bucharest has been a partner of the Orizont Sonor (Sound Horizons) festival. The event is organised by the Institut Français in Romania in collaboration with renowned festivals in France – the Making Waves Film Festival and Longueur d’Ondes. Austria, a country with a particularly active, creative and diverse environment for sound creation, will be represented by several ORF experts at the panel discussion. They will be joined by journalists and artists from Germany, France and Romania. The Orizont Sonor festival invites the audience to an interactive experience with the world of radio, podcasts and sound creation and aims to establish itself as a reference point for international dialogue and cooperation between professionals in this field, as well as a place for reflection on the future of this sector. The 2025 edition will bring together creative minds from all over Europe to present a diverse programme accessible to both professionals and the public, consisting of audio samples, sound installations, workshops, debates and live radio play sessions.
