Every October, Linz presents the full range of cultural activities it has to offer young people and families: workshops, exhibitions, guided tours, theatre, cinema, dance and music performances, readings, picture book cinema, taster sessions and much more. Over twelve days in autumn, around 230 events and activities are on the programme for culture-loving children. From exhibitions to guided tours, theatre, cinema, dance and music performances, readings, picture book cinema, taster sessions and workshops, there are many different ways to experience culture. During Children’s Culture Week, events for all age groups are offered at reduced admission prices – many programme items are even free of charge. At the Ars Electronica Center, admission is free for children and young people up to the age of 14, and reduced admission for accompanying adults. Admission to the city and state museums is also free for families (two adults and children up to the age of 18).
