The L.art Gallery presents works by Robert Muntean & Bianca Regl in its current exhibition. Robert Muntean is one of the most prominent figures in contemporary painting in the German-speaking world. His works revolve around the human figure, which dissolves in multi-layered painterly compositions between figuration and abstraction. In a visual language characterised by rhythm, superimposition and atmospheric depth, Muntean negotiates questions of identity, perception and imagery.
Bianca Regl is one of Austria’s most internationally renowned contemporary painters. In her works, which oscillate between figurative suggestion and abstract gesture, she combines atmospheric density with poetic imagery. Her painting reflects the fragmentary and fleeting, explores the boundaries between perception, memory and identity, and creates pictorial spaces that extend beyond the visible. At the same time, her work reflects an artistic practice characterised by precision as well as an openness to chance and blurring.
