07.11.2025 – 25.01.2026
The Kunsthalle Wien opens its winter programme with an exhibition by Jonida Laçi (born 1990 in Durrës, Albania) and Luīze Nežberte (born 1998 in Riga, Latvia), who were awarded the Kunsthalle Wien Prize 2025. The prize was first awarded in 2002 and is organised in collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and the University of Applied Arts Vienna. The aim of the prize is to recognise and promote a new generation of artists by annually honouring outstanding diploma theses by students from various media and disciplines. The exhibition by Laçi and Nežberte is based on their respective diploma theses and has been expanded to include new works and site-specific adaptations in order to reflect the connections between these two different and autonomous practices.
