The Salzburg Mountain Film Festival ‘Adventure Mountain – Adventure Film’ is entering its fourth decade. This year’s lectures focus on two major travel adventures: the duo Marlies and Andreas Czerny-Lattner are undertaking a mountain journey from Morocco to Norway. Gerhard Osterbauer spans his mountain adventures across all continents – from the Seven Summits of Antarctica to the Himalayas. But the festival is not just about extremes. It is the quiet, poetic stories that move us: bestselling author Paolo Cognetti crosses his homeland on Monte Rosa, two Frenchmen traverse the Alps on horseback, nomads and their reindeer take us into the endless expanse of the Mongolian taiga, and a young shepherd experiences his first summer in the alpine pastures of Haute Provence – complete with a tender love story.
