For the 20th time, the MAK will be the stage for the winning posters of the 100 BEST POSTERS competition. Germany Austria Switzerland. As a seismograph of the creative scene, the annual show offers a concise overview of significant graphic trends. Typeface design emerges as the real star of the 2024 edition: long since outgrowing its purely informational function, it now acts as an independent visual actor. Hand-drawn typography stands confidently alongside digital fonts and celebrates deliberate imperfection as a visible statement. Once again this year, artificial intelligence is leaving its mark – and producing some astonishingly creative results. The 100 posters and series exhibited in this year’s competition were selected from 2,509 posters submitted by 711 entrants. The five-member international jury consisted of Adeline Mollard (Zurich), Anouk Rehorek (Vienna), Hans Günter Schmitz (Wuppertal), Stephanie Specht (Antwerp) and Jonas Wandeler (Zurich).
