Throwing things away is a thing of the past. Or is it? What was taken for granted for centuries – using resources optimally and for as long as possible – seems to have been forgotten today. When and why do we part with things? And what happens to them when we no longer attach any value to them? The special exhibition ‘More than Recycling’ encourages visitors to rethink and reconsider. Whether agriculture, clothing, housing or entertainment – our lifestyle has massive ecological and social consequences. Spread over five floors, the exhibition invites visitors to question, offers numerous opportunities for interaction and shows new, surprising ways to conserve resources instead of wasting them.
