The Musica in Prossimità festival, held in Pinerolo (Turin, Piedmont), is an annual series of events dedicated to unconventional music, combining contemporary compositions, electronic music, improvisation and performance. This year, airborne extended will perform, an international ensemble from Vienna with an unusual line-up: flutes (Elena Gabbrielli), harpsichord/keyboard (Sonja Leipold), recorders and Paetzold (Caroline Mayrhofer) and harp (Tina Žerdin). Firmly rooted in the tradition of chamber music, the quartet brings it into the 21st century with numerous commissioned works created especially for the group. Works by Tobias Krebs, Bernhard Lang, Anna Korsun and Alexander Bauer will be presented at the festival.
