Bettina Patermo, mäusepotpourri, 2025, Acryl auf Leinwand, 150 x 120 cm

29.11.2025 – 17.01.2026

This year’s Christmas exhibition is dedicated to Bettina Patermo and Michele Bubacco. This exhibition also marks the end of a chapter that began in 1980 under the name Galerie Weihergut – an address that shaped the Salzburg art scene for decades. It is the last exhibition at the Salzburg location.
Bettina Patermo is one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Austrian painting, whose work unfolds between introspective narrative and formal condensation. In her works, which range from large-format portraits to figurative scenes and abstract compositions, she addresses questions of identity, freedom and perception. Michele Bubacco develops a multi-layered visual language in his painting that oscillates between figuration and abstraction. His works emerge from a process between conscious composition and improvisational gesture, in which perception, memory and physicality overlap. Bubacco draws inspiration equally from the past and the present.
