Austrian artist Rosa Franziska Maier will give two concerts in Turkey at the invitation of the Istanbul Cultural Forum and Ankara Müzik Ve Güzel Sanatları Üniversitesi. In her programme Reverie, she will present a varied programme from various areas of the classical guitar repertoire at the Istanbul Cultural Forum. The programme includes works from the English Renaissance by John Dowland, the Romanticism of the 19th century with the composer Giulio Regondi, and a wealth of styles from the 20th century. The ensemble of original compositions for classical guitar is complemented by several transcriptions to create a colourful potpourri. With her subtle sense of sound and innovative repertoire, Maier has been impressing audiences for many years, both as a soloist and in interdisciplinary projects.
