IN THE EXTENDED SPACE is dedicated to outstanding artistic positions in painting and drawing – works of art from the STRABAG ART Collection that explore the boundaries of their medium in very different ways. In doing so, they prove once again that these traditional means of expression in contemporary art have lost none of their charisma and expressive power in our multimedia present. The diverse, sometimes expansive works, created especially for the exhibition curated by Sebastian Haselsteiner and Günther Oberhollenzer, impress with their formal and conceptual mastery. The ten Austrian and international artists featured in the exhibition are winners of the STRABAG ART Award. Works of art from a total of 34 national and international artistic positions are on display.
