Numerous women in Styria were active in the photography industry. However, they remained largely invisible. In Women’s Month in March 2026, the exhibition will focus on the life story of Styrian photographer Terezija/Therese Mostler. She was born in what is now Slovenian Štajerska. She first ran her photo studio in Ljubljana, then in Mureck from 1911 onwards. Soon, the political borders shifted. But the photographer continued to move between spaces, between the Slovenian and German languages. After her death, she fell into oblivion. In recent years, cross-border activists have begun to collect photos by Terezija/Therese Mostler and preserve traces of her work.
