The current exhibition by Mürzzuschlag-based artist Janine Pölzl deals with evidence of the presence of material traces and the absence of what produced these traces. She appropriates decayed objects found in various locations in her artistic work in order to trace processes of decay in her own further processing. Transience is integrated into an artistic process. Janine Pölzl works with black-and-white Lomography photographs, which she processes analogously, often double-exposing them and sometimes chemically post-processing them (chemogram).
