Austrian musician UCHE YARA is coming to Egypt for three events: an open jam session and two concerts in Alexandria and Cairo. The series kicks off with a jam session in cooperation with UG Social, where UCHE YARA will improvise with local musicians and create musical encounters. This will be followed by a solo concert at the Jesuit Cultural Centre in Alexandria, which will showcase her energetic style combining pop, soul, rock and experimental sounds. In Cairo, there will be a performance at the Rawabet Art Space, where UCHE YARA will perform together with local dancer Hanin Tarek and invite freestyle dancers from the audience to participate. The events are part of a series of events organised by the Austrian Cultural Forum Cairo and are examples of lively, open and successful cross-cultural collaborations.
