In the group exhibition “Bringing It All Back Home”, the viewer is intended not merely to be a visitor, but rather an “inhabitant”. In the context of CCA Andratx Mallorca – a museum that also serves as a residency space for international artists – this distinction takes on a very special significance: ‘Visiting’ suggests transience and consumption, whilst ‘residing’ implies a lasting, active and potentially transformative effect. In this sense, the exhibition unfolds not as a fixed itinerary, but as an open structure: a constellation of works, texts, images and sounds that surround the viewer and invite active engagement. Karin Fisslthaler’s series of works “Times” plays an important role in this. Her practice, which operates at the intersection of image, collage, sound and archival material, requires proximity and a slow, attentive viewing. Functional time is suspended between contemplation and the search for fragments and details that reflect not only our world, but also our way of seeing and shaping reality. In addition to this series of works, she will present her experimental video piece “*WOMEN (Nico)”.
