At the galerie kunsthaus muerz, Mari Otberg is presenting, among other works, her previously unpublished series “OLYMPIA”. At the heart of the series are strong female characters – female athletes who remain unshaken by anything on their path to the gold medal. Interpreted philosophically, this series explores questions of self-discipline, physicality and freedom. Here, performance is not seen as an end in itself, but as an expression of self-empowerment and inner resolve – as a conscious choice for determination in a world of distraction.
