As part of a retrospective at the 65th Festival Internacional de Cine de Cartagena de Indias (FICCI 65), the oldest film festival in Latin America, and at the Cinemateca de Bogotá, the renowned Austrian filmmaker and author Ruth Beckermann is being honoured. The retrospective kicks off in Bogotá with the films *Die Geträumten* (2016), *Waldheim’s Waltz* (2018) and *Mutzenbacher* (2022). The programme will then continue in Cartagena as part of FICCI 65 with *Die papierene Brücke* (1987), Waldheim’s Waltz (2018) and Beckermann’s latest film Wax and Gold (2026), which had its world premiere at the Berlinale. Ruth Beckermann will travel to Colombia for the retrospective and take part in accompanying events, including audience discussions and Q&A sessions in Bogotá and Cartagena.
