06.02. – 06.05.2018; Linz. Kubin, could eat ’em alive.
The exhibition in the Kubin Cabinet of the Landesgalerien Linz addresses the question of what influence artistic and political events between the two World Wars had on his works. The interwar period is one of Kubin’s most productive periods. In his pieces such as “Homecoming”, “Menschheitsdämmerung”, “Comet”, and “Stalin”, the artist not only addresses the consequences of the First World War, but also seems to anticipate the advent of WWII.
