The Angewandte shows work on the topic of prospects for post growth. The conditions under which this exhibition is taking place result not least from a global emergency. This exhibition therefore asks artists about their images of a present that is marked by end time ideas and crises and yet at the same time is searching for concepts and for strength. The artistic works formulate prospects for an empathetic future in the face of a world in which other approaches are needed more urgently than ever before in order to bring together necessary expertise and accessible general knowledge, real constraints and visionary freedom, responsible commitment and disturbing images of fear into a powerful diversity. On display are works by Allora & Calzadilla, Böhler & Orendt, Sophie Bösker, Nikolaus Gansterer, Oto Hudec, Markus Jeschaunig, Maria Kanzler, Krištof Kintera, Justin Lieberman, Christian Kosmas Mayer, Nicole Six and Paul Petritsch, Katrin Plavčak, Gerda Steiner & Jörg Lenzlinger, Michael Strasser, Herwig Turk, Anna Vasof.
