The Wien Museum has digitized a stock of 47,000 objects and now makes them available online. A virtual visit is thus possible and provides a view of an extensive (online) collection of the city’s history. Most of the objects shown here rest in the depot and are only rarely exhibited. This digitization milestone is particularly gratifying, since the Wien Museum is currently closed for renovation. Among other things, the estate of Otto Wagner and more than 400 works by Gustav Klimt are on display.
