The planned exhibition “Der Angriff der Gegenwart” could not be opened as planned. For this reason, the curators, Brigitte Felderer, Barbara Horvath, Nina Pohler and Alexandra Strickner, made a digital version of the exhibition possible. Short video contributions by Anna Vasof lead through the exhibition, all videos can be viewed on the YouTube channel of the Angewandte.
The conditions under which this exhibition came into being resulted not least from a global emergency. Artists are questioning a present that is marked by end time ideas and crises, while at the same time searching for unspent concepts and demanding new models. Resistant grasping of a present as well as tangible prospects for a future are needed in order to fight for the necessary leeway.
